20X Rodeo High

RFD-TV is home to the best in High School Rodeo action!

20X Rodeo High is packed with all of the best runs, wrecks, and rides that Junior High and High School rodeo have to offer. The National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) is a non-profit organization based in Denver, CO with nearly 13,000 members from over 40 states, five Canadian provinces and Australia. 20X Rodeo High covers the excitement from elite NHSRA sanctioned events across the country.

The action packed, half hour program takes you to Tennessee, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and more as junior high and high school rodeo competitors give it their all to take home belt buckles, saddles, and the skills that will lead them into college and professional rodeo careers. 20X Rodeo High covers several State Finals events where contestants go head to head trying to qualify for the Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo and the National High School Finals Rodeo. Dreams of national championships bring out the joy, excitement and heartbreak of tough rodeo competition. A talented team of hosts breaks down the action each week. When you tune in to 20X Rodeo High do not be surprised to see the faces and hear the voices of rodeo greats giving tips to the high school competitors and sharing stories from their high school rodeo days.

Each year the show takes you to the Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo where 6th, 7th and 8th graders rope and ride their way to national titles in Gallup, NM. Also, the National High School Finals Rodeo, the largest youth rodeo event in the world, features the top contestants from each state competing in their favorite events to win individual championships as well as team championships.

High school rodeo contestants compete in events ranging from barrel racing, goat tying and breakaway roping to team roping, steer wrestling, bareback riding, bull riding and lots more. The Wrangler Junior High Division contestants compete in many of the same events as high school level competitors with some additional events, including ribbon roping and chute dogging.

Cowboy and actor, Ty O’Neal McClary, grew up competing in rodeo and working on big screen films. His outgoing personality and stellar roping skills scored him a starring role in the Disney film The Mighty Ducks. Ty brings his experience as a rodeo cowboy and pick-up man to your television every week as he hosts and gives play-by-play action on 20X Rodeo High.

Pam Minick is a former Miss Rodeo America, and is one of the most well-known faces in the world of rodeo. She's a former Women's World Champion Calf Roper and qualifier to the Women's National Finals rodeo in team roping. She has appeared as a sports commentator/interviewer on over 1000 nationally televised rodeos. Pam brings her extensive television background and rodeo knowledge to 20X Rodeo High.

Tressie Knowlton is the 20X Rodeo High Correspondent and the producer of the show. She grew up on a cattle ranch in southeastern Colorado. During her college career, Tressie followed in her big sister’s footsteps and held the title Miss Rodeo Colorado 2005, and she then went on to become Miss Rodeo America. She earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a full time producer and reporter for the Fort Worth, TX based production company, Superior Productions. Each week she goes behind the scenes to tell the stories of outstanding high school rodeo athletes and NHSRA volunteers and sponsors. Tressie catches up with the winners of each event to share our young competitors’ exciting victories with RFD-TV viewers.

Superior Productions produces all of the great livestock auctions you see on RFD-TV, as well as several weekly RFD-TV programs including 20X Rodeo High, The American Rancher, and TV Horse Source.
