FFA Today

The FFA of today may not be what you think...

It’s about teaching skills in the food, fiber and natural resources industries. It’s about the leadership and personal development of the country’s most talented youth. It’s about the students and their bright future in agriculture.

The National FFA Organization, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America, is a national youth organization of 500,823 student members – all preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture – as part of 7,358 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

With more than a half million dynamic students and teachers across the nation, it’s no doubt there are many stories to tell! Stories of inspiration, service, entrepreneurship and innovation.

FFA tells those stories on RFD-TV through our FFA Today! television show and the broadcast of the National FFA Convention.

FFA Today! brings you stories from across the country, highlighting chapters, members, teachers and more. Every October, nearly 55,000 gather at the country’s largest youth gathering, the National FFA Convention. RFD-TV brings you gavel to gavel coverage of the convention sessions live from Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Highlights include award winners, keynote speakers and the emotional election of the national FFA officer team.

The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Check out your local chapter to see how you can volunteer or support FFA members in your community. Or log onto www.ffa.org for more information.
