Biofuel advocates gather this week to review the latest challenges and opportunities within the sector at the National Biodiesel Conference and Expo. Like many other activities, this year’s event is going virtual.
NBB’s Director of Government Affairs, Floyd Vergara speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on the role that biodiesel plays in the new era of low carbon fuels, the role that soybeans play, and the benefits of renewable diesel.
“We believe electrification is an important part of a holistic, all of the above approach for reducing carbon emissions from the sector... however, the medium and heavy-duty truck sector is much more complex than passenger cars and will be much more challenging to electrify,” he states. “We believe biodiesel and renewable diesel can play an even bigger role than it is currently playing...”
