USDA: Food price inflation to continue, but lower

Retail food price inflation will continue this year, but at a lower rate than last year. Average prices went up about three and a half percent in 2020. USDA economist Carolyn Chelius says the rate of increase will begin to slow down.

Chelius adds that these are projections and it’s hard to know what will happen, especially with all the uncertainty.
