Bayer is removing glyphosate from its lawn and garden roundup products.
The move is expected to happen by 2023. The fallout from roundup lawsuits could be $4.5 billion dollars, unless Bayer gets a different ruling from the Supreme Court.
90 percent of the suits stem from lawn and garden formulations, prompting the change.
Glyphosate will still be available for ag. The company will look for new registrations on consumer products using what it calls “well established active ingredients.”
