The President is set to sign the infrastructure bill at a ceremony later today. It contains billions of dollars for agriculture and the Secretary of Transportation says that more money will be used immediately to fix logjams at our nation’s ports.
Some lawmakers have complained about the sheer size and scope of the bill, but congresswoman Angie Craig, who represents Minnesota and sits on the House Ag Committee, says that the U.S. lags when it comes to infrastructure.
She calls it an investment that was a long time coming.
Craig says that the $65 billion dollars in broadband funding will have a positive impact on the country as a whole and the benefits will trickle down to our small towns.
