Thanksgiving dinner could break the bank this year. A survey by the American Farm Bureau shows the cost of Thanksgiving dinner is up 14 percent.
The total cost of a meal for ten people increased nearly $6.5 dollars to $53.31. The turkey is up 24 percent at $24 dollars for a 16 pound bird.
However, Farm Bureau notes that costs have been coming down since the survey was conducted. All of the other ingredients increased by more than 6.5 percent, which is in line with the consumer price index.
