Farm Bureau pleased with delaying Prop 12, saying CA rushed the process

The Farm Bureau is reacting to a judge’s decision that temporarily halts California’s Prop 12.

The new restrictions on swine housing standards will not take effect until six months after the state publishes the final rules.

Farm Bureau President, Zippy Duvall says that he is pleased with the decision and says that the state of California rushed the process without clear rules on enforcement. Industry leaders are urging the Supreme Court to take up the matter, but it is unclear if Justices were waiting on this lower court decision before moving forward.
