A Canadian firm will build a second meat processor in Ontario.
Canada Meat Group unveiled plans for a 50,000 square foot facility. It will be in addition to the beef processing and cold storage plant it already operates. The new plant will process 200 head of veal and lamb per day and will source animals from local farms in northeastern Ontario and northern Quebec. It will also offer custom slaughter services.
