Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle are coming together to propose the American Food Supply Chain Resiliency Act.
It will create regional resource centers to help diversify and connect supply chains. The centers would also provide technical assistance to food businesses and farms, along with giving grants to producers looking to expand or start operations.
Of course, the hope is this will lower food costs for consumers, too.
