Ag machinery experts at New Holland have teamed up with a UK engineering firm to turn cattle waste into tractor fuel.
New Holland and Bennamann say they have the technology to collect and store methane from manure lagoons. It can be used in tractors, generators, and even heaters.
New Holland’s T6 tractor puts out 80 percent fewer emissions than the diesel version, with 98 percent less particle pollution. The companies say most current dairy farms make more than enough methane to power their farms.
