President Biden continues to try to win over rural American’s trust with his infrastructure plan.
There are the key bullet points he has already been touting like $100 billion dollars towards broadband and investments in roads, bridges, and inland waterway repair.
But, the National Rural Housing Coalition also points out that it could potentially double the amount of low-income families who own their homes.
So, what are the doubts?
Ag groups who do not back the plan are concerned about environmental mandates, job security in rural America, and the impact of removing coal mines and fossil fuel power plants in small towns. With both positive and negative feedback it could be a long process for Congress, who now has to write the legislation.
