Utility companies blame global supply chain issues and a federal investigation into whether China is evading tariffs by funneling panels through other countries.
An industry leader says that businesses and homeowners can step in and install rooftop or small-scale solar projects to ease pressure on electric grids in the meantime, but one facility says that production will be delayed until March next year.
