It’s an exciting time to be a part of the National FFA Organization!
This week the largest student-led organization announced they hit an all-time high membership at 850,823 students. That’s a 15% increase compared to 2021. In addition, chapter numbers increased by 178, resulting in 8,995 chapters in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S.Virgin Islands.
CEO Scott Stump says the new batch of leaders have a drive to problem solve and get involved.
“The Generation Z and Alpha are a different cap than what we’ve historically had. This generation wants to solve big problems. They’re looking for causes to get involved in. And agriculture is one of those mission-based areas where we’re taking care of the rest of the people on the plant.”
The National FFA Organization is a school-based national youth leadership development organization of more than 850,000 student members as part of 8,995local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
