USDA is opening up a grant program to boost biofuel sales

USDA will dedicate another $100 million to the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program, and the 90-day application window is now open.

It is a grant program aimed to significantly increase sales and the use of higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel made from U.S. ag products. The money will help traditional facilities share the cost of new pumps and other related infrastructure.

Under the program, those stations wanting a share of the money must offer ethanol blends greater than 10 percent, and biodiesel blends must be more than 5 percent.
