Powerful storms and tornadoes ripped through parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas over the holiday weekend.
Seven people tragically died in a small agricultural community in north Texas following an EF2 tornado on Sunday. Many of Valley View’s 800 residents farm or work at the local feed store or postal service.
Displaced residents are staying in makeshift shelters at local churches, while teams of volunteers are helping neighbors clean up and salvage belongings. Total damage has yet to be reported.
