Producers and the markets will soon have a better read on this year’s crops. This month’s WASDE Report drops on Monday, and USDA’s Outlook Board has their eye on Brazil.
“In South America, the Brazil’s second crop, corn harvest is just about finishing up. So that is also a, you know, a major source of global supplies, or you know, monitoring harvest results to get a good sense of how much corn Brazil is putting into this into the global markets, you know, right ahead of the U.S. harvest as it approaches in September,” said Mark Jekanowski.
Beginning next month, USDA reps will be on the road, talking to 14,000 farmers for their farmer yield survey.
