Athletes, including Joe Burrow, are buying farmland in Iowa

A group of athletes is purchasing a 104-acre farm in Iowa, worth $5 million.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and defensive end Sam Hubbard are reportedly part of a group. Other athletes include Boston Celtics veteran Blake Griffin, who has already dipped his foot in agriculture with numerous investments.

The group plans to buy four more properties and lease it back to farmers, seeking a single-digit-percentage return on the total investment.

The first farm will be focused on growing corn and soybeans. Other future options include watermelon farms in Oregon, according to the Bleacher Report.
