Avian influenza spreading to other animals in Europe

Avian influenza still has a hold on Europe, as the virus spreads to other species.

The World Organization for Animal Health reports, for the first time, it has been detected in seals and a fox in the UK. It has also been found in additional commercial poultry flocks.

Prior to the latest reports, the UK was scheduled to lift mandatory housing orders this week. Other recent outbreaks include France, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden.
