In an effort to move to cleaner energy, the Biden Administration has dropped tariffs on solar panels for two years.
The move is a win for U.S. solar developers and farmers looking to lease their land, but it is a loss for manufacturers working to build up a domestic supply chain.
It comes despite the investigation into whether Asian countries are using parts from China made with slave labor. That investigation has caused hundreds of U.S. solar projects to stall or be canceled.
