Colorado has issued a proclamation urging citizens to avoid eating meat. Ag advocates across the region are now rebutting with “Meat on the Menu Day”, taking place this Saturday.
Joyce Kelly, the Executive Director of the Colorado Pork Producers Council, speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on “Meat In v/s Meat Out”, as well as Colorado Livestock Proud Day.
“There were several comments in his proclamation that were of concern, had to do with animal welfare issues as well as safety of food and health benefits by not eating meat... and really, we’re concerned that he is clueless about what role agriculture really plays in this state,” Kelly notes.
