Congress is back in DC, but there is little progress on a new Farm Bill. Cotton growers say it has been a disappointing year and are urging Senate leaders to release the text of their Farm Bill version.
“Put them side by side with the House bill, see where there’s areas of commonality, where there’s agreement, what things, you know, we can check off on both sides and then kind of work on those limited areas of disagreement that remain and and get a bill finished,” said Shawn Wade.
Wade says there is not much time left to get the work done. Lawmakers still have several government spending bills to complete before taking up the ag legislation.
