Cases of High Path Avian Flu have slowed in recent weeks but the virus could come back as we head into fall.
No new commercial cases have been reported in about five weeks. Cases paused last year as well and picked back up in October. Animal health officials say migratory birds are largely to blame for the spread.
The outbreak began in early 2022 and led to the culling of more than 100 million birds just in the United States. 13 farm workers contracted the virus but only had mild symptoms.
