Tyson has announced that more than 25 percent of the workforce in a Noel, Missouri poultry plant have tested positive for COVID-19. In most of the cases, the infected workers did not exhibit any symptoms, but they are on paid leave until they test negative.
Meanwhile, in Waterloo, Iowa, a lawsuit claims Tyson dismissed calls by local health authorities to shut the plant down and offered bonuses, which encouraged employees to report for work when they were sick. The dispute is filed on behalf of three Waterloo plant workers who died.
