Even though there are tight supplies and higher prices, there is no shortage of eggs.
The American Egg Board says supplies have been more stable this year compared to the last time High Pathogenic Avian Influenza hit the U.S. in 2015. That is because the time it takes for a farm to recover from an outbreak has shrunk significantly over the years from up to nine months to just three.
Prices, however, are hitting record highs, as the virus continues to work its way across the U.S.
