U.S. farmers are the most trusted member of the nation’s food supply chain. That is according to a new consumer survey by the United Soybean Board.
The Soy Checkoff released the research a short time ago, it shows that 79 percent of Americans have a positive view of farmers who grow crops.
Seventy percent said that it is important to purchase food grown in the U.S. When asked about sustainability in soybeans, less than half were aware of how the popular bean is grown, but the good news is that once they read about soybean sustainability, more than two-thirds said they felt more positive about soy protein and soybean oil.
