Farmher: Amy Heitland

There are some dreams that just won’t be stopped. Amy Heitland’s West Fork Ranch is one of those dreams. She and her husband Tom had a vision of building a business around their passion for horses. The couple worked for years to build the horse barn of their dreams. They worked and saved, buying what they needed piece-by-piece. However, the day they signed off on plans to build the new facility, Tom was diagnosed with cancer. Four months after the structure was completed, Tom passed away.

But Amy and her sons continued the dream of doing all things “horse.” Now, West Fork Ranch does everything from boarding to training to breeding, buying, selling and riding. They are committed to helping people enhance their relationships with their horses through continuing education - whether the horse is a reiner, cutter, show horse, ranch horse or a gentle family horse.
