FDA has received approval to move forward with its reorganization to establish a unified human food program, effective from October 1st.
The move was recommended by the Reagan-Udall Foundation after the FDA’s response to an infant formula shortage. The reorganization will enable the FDA to prioritize nutrition, enhance partnerships with state and local entities, and fully implement the Food Safety Modernization Act.
