Macy Worthey has experienced seizures since elementary school. According to FFA.org, her FFA chapter from Louisville, Illinois created a ‘fun run’ to help raise the $20.000 the Worthey family needed to buy a seizure-response dog.
It can take up to 2 years to train a service dog. While Worthey waits for her new pup to be trained, the North Clay FFA chapter is serving with the SIT Service Dogs as a chapter project.
Macy tells FFA.org “it’s hard to wait, but it feels really good to be able to help until I’m matched.”
