After years of work and months of running on an extension of the 2018 Farm Bill, lawmakers shared a first look at the text of the new 2024 Farm Bill legislation.
The House Committee on Agriculture released details of the landmark ag legislation Wednesday in preparation for a mark-up later this month.
House Ag Committee Chair GT Thompson issued a title-by-title summary of the legislation, following extensive discussions with members from both parties and farmers. Key provisions include boosts in PLC and ARC, significant increases in the Market Access Program (MAP) and Foreign Market Development (FMD), and improved credit access for farmers.
