HPAI is detected in an Oklahoma dairy herd

Oklahoma has detected High Path Avian Flu in a dairy herd, the state’s agriculture department tells Reuters.

The sample was collected in April and recently submitted to USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service for testing. The herd has recovered fully, and there have not been any reported HPAI cases.

Oklahoma is the 13th state to have the virus.
