Farmers and ranchers took a massive hit this year with natural disasters. New numbers are out now giving us the first look at damage estimates from Hurricane Milton.
The University of Florida has crunched the numbers, and they say the ag community in Milton’s path suffered anywhere from $190 million to $640 million in damage across the state.
The storm made landfall in early October as a category three storm, and it came shortly after Hurricane Helene, which took out farming operations all along the Southeast coast.
