Ag technology has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years, and new research shows more farmers are looking to take advantage of those advancements.
A study by the Illinois Center for Digital Agriculture found that more than half of corn farmers would adopt robots for weeding if given the opportunity. It comes at a time when herbicide resistance is at an all-time high. Research shows loss of efficiency with chemical control can cause upwards of $100 billion in damages each year.
Robotic weeding machines can range from $20,000-$40,000.
