The push for year-round sales of high-ethanol fuel continues, and an Iowa lawmaker is asking her colleagues to make it a priority.
Congresswoman Ashley Hinson is pushing for the Consumer and Fuel Retainer Choice Act. Brownfield Ag News reports it would allow ethanol blends 10 percent and higher to be sold year-round and would help lower emissions. She says it is a move that could also help slow electric vehicle mandates. Hinson says while it is a priority, the Farm Bill takes precedent.
The bill has the support of many different biofuel groups, like Growth Energy and the Renewable Fuels Association.
