Kirsten Vold

The youngest child of rodeo legend Harry Vold, Kirsten was raised on the rodeo circuit and many assumed she would naturally be involved in the family business. But growing up, she had different ideas. “I was going to be a lawyer and drive a sports car and live in L.A.,” Vold revealed in a 2009 interview. But fate is a funny thing and after earning her BA in Communications, Vold did become more involved in the Harry Vold Rodeo Company.

Now the General Manager, Vold spends more than 200 days on the trail and raises some 650 bucking horses on 30,000 acres of short-grass prairie. One of her proudest achievements is Painted Valley, an eight-year-old stud who was selected to five Wrangler National Rodeo Finals, was voted best Saddle Bronc Horse of the WNFR in 2009 and was named PRCA Saddle Horse of the Year in 2010.
