Legendary and versatile actor Val Edward Kilmer was known for roles in historic Hollywood pictures like Top Gun, Batman, and Tombstone.

Sadly, on April 1st, Kilmer passed away in Los Angeles from pneumonia; family and friends surrounded him. He was only 65 years old.

Kilmer was born in Los Angeles, California, on December 31, 1959. He would go on to be the youngest person at the time to be accepted into the Juilliard School’s Drama Division at 17.
His big break would come as the role of Nick Rivers in the comedy movie Top Secret.

His resume would not only include hit blockbusters but also working alongside legendary directors and fellow actors. He could be seen in Top Gun, Top Gun: Maverick, Batman, Batman Forever, The Doors, The Missing, Deja Vu, Kill The Irishman, A Soldier’s Revenge, and Tombstone.

In the late 2010s, Kilmer began a battle with throat cancer. This would lead to him having trouble talking. But in 2020, he said he was cancer-free.
