All this week we are getting a different kind of look at yield projections, this time using satellite imagery and other data. It is part of this year’s Digital Yield Tour powered by Grow Intelligence.
Their corn yield model is forecasting a 177 bushels per acre national average. If this happens, it would break the record from 2021 which was at 176.7.
They are looking for soybeans to land at 51 bushels per acre, which is just shy of USDA estimates last month at 52 bushels.
Analysts with DTN say they are surprised by how well the crops have rebounded after poor conditions early on.
