President Donald Trump and First Lad Melania are quarantining in the White House this morning after announcing they have tested positive for COVID-19.
This morning, Vice President Pence and the Second Lady said they tested negative.
It is possible that the President contracted the virus from White House aid Hope Hicks. She traveled on Air Force One to the debate on Tuesday and on to the rally in Minnesota Wednesday.
The President took to twitter saying, “FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will being our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this together.”
The First Lady shared a post as well about their quarantine: “We are feeling good and I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe, and we will all get through this together.”
In a released statement, White House physician Dr. Sean Conley says, “The President and First Lady are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence. I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering.”
