COP28 continues this week in Dubai, and the meat industry is there making its case for animal proteins as a form of sustainable nutrition.
The industry has come under attack at the Conference, with climate groups calling on Western nations to reduce their meat intake.
The North American Meat Institute and the Protein Pact are taking part in high-level talks. U.S. officials have also committed to join the Netherlands and the UK in spending $890 million to help small farmers create more sustainable food systems.
