More gray wolves are set to be released in Colorado later this year

Colorado announced another wolf release is slated for this winter.

Last December, the Parks and Wildlife Service introduced ten gray wolves from Oregon. Since then, dozens of livestock have died due to wolf depredation.

The new wolves will be released in northern Colorado, but the state has not determined where they will come from.
An agreement with a tribe in Washington state recently fell through, amid allegations that Colorado did not communicate with its own tribes.

The reintroduction plan includes the release of 30-50 wolves in the next three to five years.
