NASA launches their Acres Program to help support agriculture

While NASA may be known for sending astronauts to explore the great unknowns of space, the organization is also active in supporting agriculture.

The NASA Acres Program was recently launched, advancing the use of satellite Earth observations to better agriculture and food security.
With over 40 partners, the public program will offer information on things like soil moisture, temperature, available nutrients, and more.

The program’s executive director says that working hand in hand with farmers to develop these models has been essential because it is exactly what they asked for.
