In an effort to resolve concerns around live cattle marketing issues, beef producers set policies to help lead the industry to a more robust price discovery.
NCBA’s Ethan Lane speaks with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on the highlights of the policy and what the next steps are moving forward. “After months of working group activity trying to find a path forward here, we spent about 6 and a half hours in the committee room and emerged with a policy that gives us a path forward,” Lane states. “With some clear language that says we’re going to keep working to establish some triggers at that region to establish exactly what we need to see for robust price discovery and a path to Capital Hill if those voluntary efforts don’t work.”
