24 MAY 2024 (NASHVILLE, TN) – Today, rising country singer-songwriter, Owen Riegling, hailing from Mildmay in Southwestern Ontario, releases his highly anticipated debut EP, aptly titled Bruce County via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The EP features four tracks recorded in Nashville and produced by Brad Hill (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Brett Young) with two original songs penned by Owen himself, and two co-written with Jesse Slack, Darly Scott, and Dave Sampson. Bruce County unfolds as a collection of songs, each offering different perspectives of the community and the people while encapsulating the overall vibe and essence of rural life and family roots.

In addition to the two tracks released, Platinum-certified hit single “Old Dirt Roads” peaking at #2 at Canadian Country radio and fan favourite “Bud Light The Way”, Bruce County delivers two versions of the swampy country song “Dan” celebrating the small-town blue-collar worker and the country-rock anthem “Moonshines” honouring family roots featuring a dynamic blend of guitars, banjo and steel guitar riffs guaranteed to have listeners stomping their feet. The official visualizer is also out today, directed by frequent collaborator, Connor Scheffler (Brett Kissel, Billy Talent).

Owen shares, “I’m so excited that my debut EP, Bruce County, is finally out. I’m pretty damn proud of my roots. Bruce County is as much a part of me as my last name. These songs mean a lot to me, they tell the story of where I’m from, how I was raised and make me feel right at home. This EP offers a glimpse of more to come from my music.”

After winning the 2022 Emerging Artists Showcase at the Canadian country music mega-fest Boots & Hearts, Owen signed his record deal with Universal Music Canada. Owen’s growing discography includes debut single “Love (The Sweater Song)”, and the Platinum-certified radio hit “Old Dirt Roads”. Owen wrapped 2023 as Apple Music’s UpNext Program and kicked off 2024 selected as Spotify’s Hot Country Artists To Watch and Amazon Canada’s Breakthrough Artists to Watch 2024. With over 55 million global streams, it is clear Owen is maintaining his unstoppable pace and making his mark on the music industry. The EP, Bruce County, offers a glimpse of what lies ahead for Owen as a Country artist. Touring alongside country stars like Tyler Hubbard, Chase Rice to headlining his own small-town tour across Canada, The Buckle Up Tour in partnership with Bud Light Canada, Owen continues to hit the stage with several festival dates, including Calgary Stampede, Cavendish, LASSO and recently performed Stagecoach in California.
