Foreign Animal Disease (FAD) preparedness is a big focus for the livestock sector.

The Pork Checkoff is working to give producers the tools and direction needed to not only prevent an outbreak but also return to business in the event one occurs.

Missouri pork producer, Jesse Heimer talked with RFD-TV’s own Susanne Alexander on Market Day Report while attending the World Pork Expo with an update on the program. Heimer discusses FAD prevention and response, shares examples of industry collaboration, and the value of the World Pork Expo to the industry.
