Producers in several states now preparing for major water cuts.
This, as water levels in the Colorado River Basin just keep getting lower.
Arizona seeing the most significant impact. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation announced a 21 percent cut for the state’s annual water allocation. There is also an 8 percent cut for Nevada and a 7 percent reduction in river flows across the border to Mexico.
Somewhat surprisingly, California is not slated for water cuts at this time.
