Producers should be prepared for chlorpyrifos alternatives

Following up on the latest efforts to get safe tolerances for chlorpyrifos restored, the Ag Retailers Association says producers should focus on finding alternatives.

CEO Daren Coppock tells Brownfield Ag News the EPA means business and farmers should not wait for a ruling to reverse the decision, which could take months. But there is hope for an eventual restoration of those safe tolerances as Coppock says data from toxicology studies should be used to support the decision, but EPA used an epidemiology study.
