R-CALF Protests USDA’s Cattle ID Tags

R-CALF USA will continue their protest of radio frequency ID cattle tags.

They say that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is adamant on gaining control of the live cattle supply chain, through the agency’s proposal to require the tags.

CEO Bill Bullard stated that they were successful in defeating an attempt last fall, but there is a new proposal in the federal register this week. Cattle producers have until October 5th to submit comments on the effort. R-CALF says that they will take this to court.
