Ranch Comes to the Rescue After Mexican Import Disruptions

Ellwood Ranch in California grows avocados and lemons on the hills and valleys of Santa Barbara County. Some Louisiana farmers recently toured the operation to learn about the industry.

This Week in Louisiana Agriculture explains how the ranch came to the rescue for the rest of the country back in February.

California is the leading producer of avocados in the U.S. and is home to about 90% of the nation’s crop.
