High path avian flu is still on the minds of milk producers and the markets.
Just this week, health officials say another dairy worker has tested positive for the virus. The case was found in Colorado, one of the twelve states with impacted herds.
Officials say that the male employee was in direct contact with an infected cow that has the virus.
Symptoms are minor though, with the worker having already recovered after a case of pink eye.
Animal health officials say that the best way to prevent illness is to have and follow biosecurity plans. This marks the fourth human infection since the virus shifted from birds to cows.
