Renewable diesel could surpass biodiesel production

Renewable diesel is on track to overtake biodiesel production.

Due to continued growth, U.S. Energy Information Administration says renewable diesel production will surpass biodiesel production by October. The company’s team lead for Petroleum and Natural Gas Modeling says we might see a slight shrinking on the biodiesel side.

EIA estimates that 440,000 barrels per day were converted to renewable diesel in 2020.
